Our warmest wishes for the festive season, from Mandarin & Mango Boutique Hotel in Turkey

Another year seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye, and as we approach the final days of 2023, we reflect on the year gone by, and turn our minds towards planning for the summer ahead.

In the meantime, all of us here at Mandarin & Mango Boutique Hotel would like to wish our guests and friends a festive season full of joy, love and laughter, however you choose to celebrate. We hope that 2023 was kind to you all, and that 2024 may bring happiness, prosperity and good health!

Special Interest Weeks and Guided Tours in 2024

Whilst we value the relaxing ambience at Mandarin & Mango just as much as our guests do (even though we don't get to enjoy quite as much rest and relaxation ourselves during the season!), we particularly look forward to our special Activity weeks, when we get to share our passion for our beautiful natural surroundings - and a little insight into local customs and culture - with small groups of like-minded travellers.

Our guided walking weeks along the Lycian Way are an ideal way to make the most of the wonderfully varied and unspoilt countryside that surrounds our little corner of south-west Turkey, as we follow mountain trails and coastal paths, scramble over ancient ruins and potter around traditional villages. For 2024, we have three dates to choose from: 18 to 25 April, 16 to 23 May and 24 September to 1 October, so whether you are keen to see the wild spring flowers at their most verdant or wish to bask in the golden hues of autumn, there should be a date to suit your plans.

The week from 3 to 10 June 2024 is our special activity week, when we'll be putting on special classes and workshops for those with an interest in Photography, Turkish Cuisine or Argentine Tango. Whichever your interest, the activities are designed to be fun and informal, and couples or travelling companions wishing to join separate courses can do so.

For those keen to explore not only our own fascinating region of Turkey but some of the other distinct aspects of this diverse country, we are once again arranging a selection of partially escorted tours, enabling you to delve deep into the Turkey's history and geography before some well-earned rest and relaxation and Mandarin & Mango. Our Turkish Triangle tour from 22 May to 2 June combines a couple of days to discover the vibrant metropolis of Istanbul at your own pace with a few days' guided exploration of the unique region of Cappadocia with its otherworldly landscapes, ancient cave-dwellings and remarkable underground cities.
The Cradle of Civilisation from 10 to 29 June is an in-depth exploration of some of Turkey's most important historical treasures, including what is believed to be the world's oldest temple.
Running from 4 to 19 July, our Journey to the Edge of History explores the highlights of Eastern Turkey, travelling from the Armenian border to the Mediterranean coast.

In late summer, from 29 August, we even offer you the opportunity to explore beyond Turkey, with a 10-day tour of our north-eastern neighbour Georgia. In spite of its wealth of cultural and historical sites, Georgia remains largely undiscovered by western travellers, and visiting some of the country's many attractions as part of a private group was one of our personal highlights of 2023, so we are excited about sharing these discoveries with you next year. Full details of the trip will be posted on our website in January, but in the meantime, please contact us for more information or to register your interest.
